Review:
I'm just shocked by all the negative reviews of the pseudo-intellectual, says that the film was heavily flawed, incomprehensible, without merit, and the lame to name a few. What they were expecting? This is a remake of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Of course, I do not pretend that the film does not have many glaring weaknesses. The plot is hardly original, is its implementation even more inspiring. Roland Emmerich goes out of his way to use every cliche in the book, makes more sentimental, weak, flat characterization, amazing leaps in logic and reasoning viewer and the use of special effects to island ; vervinna these drawbacks. But what some of the reviewers seem to have missed it, and, backed by the immense popularity of the film's heart. The movie has a big heart. It makes you feel good after watching it. And even if the quality does not make a good movie, it really makes it a good movie in my book. The film is very funny, very tense, feast for the eyes with dazzling special effects and even some dialogue that can only rise above its trite origin. The acting is adequate around with no kicks off a great performance, but some of them are doing amazing job with what they have to work. Judd Hirsch easy to use their colleagues as a jew father with a gift for common sense and lack of tact. Jeff Goldblum also gives very good results as his son. Yes, Will Smith is the only Will Smith .. many one-liners and little meat, so to speak. But it's bearable. Beware of Brent Spiner in a cruel role as hippie scientist. His performance is a real hoot! If you are looking for philosophical fiction, it is not. See Starship Troopers (good movie). It's just good old Americans against the universe of things, lots of action, but little substance. But what may have its flaws, this is a funny, happy, sad, charming, very interesting movie to watch ... again and again.
