Robert DeNiro is hysterical. Relatives guest Charlie Cox is a wonderful leading man. Claire Danes is fantastic as always. Michelle Pfiefer make quite a splash with his recent return in screen. There are also many moments of wonder from secondary characters ... even less facial expression.

So, I actually managed to get to the advanced screening of Welcome to the punch this evening. Unfortunately, none of my 150ish London Facebook friends can accompany me to a free advanced screening of the film and, at first, I must admit that I was very disappointed. But now, I wonder if they knew something I did not! Eran Creevy, writer and director is preparing the ground well with an opening sequence ¢ singularity which plays in London's glossy, glass and steel, covered with Canary Wharf. It draws us in right away. We find ourselves almost immediately invested in both the main character (James McAvoy as Max Lewinsky, a police detective at the head of which were rooting for) and antagonist (Mark Strong plays the stern naughty bad boy, Jacob Sternwood), are ready to tell us more about these two characters and the motives of their actions.Borrowing heavily from audiovisual flash bat Nolans films, including The Dark Knight, were lead to believe that a stylish cat-and-mouse thriller / crime caper in the style of warmth awaits us. I honestly found myself asking whether this can actually be a British heat after the first 10 minutes or so. Unfortunately, about 15 minutes in, my first claim hit me in the face (from McAvoys performance no less!) This was followed by a second and a third, and continued to do so until the end, finally, do not come with a twist, which is visible a mile and a convoluted plot, which was to be attributed to exposure of about 10 minutes before the movie is over! The relationship between the characters felt shallow and under developed, which makes sympathy nigh on impossible, and in the end, leaving me a little sad it all. None of the issues that the film raises in our mind as we move through the narration did not answer, and I was left feeling cheated every time. The audience needs to know why certain things happen, of course;? Sternwoods treatment Lewinsky and vice versa, for one. So why not just tell us? Cast deliver strong performances from what material they have a bar McAvoy, surprisingly, that gave too many clichés D reactions, caricature, our hero and made us less sympathetic to his plight.For all the films she has good points and its bad in the end, bad simply overpowered well. Little niggles (in the form of a convenient location tools, poor aim, etc.) and a wannabe Bourne-esque plot, along with a serious shortage of fun to be trumped-up bad guy (because, technically, was not a bad guy) made the film much poorer than it rightly deserves. Because from a technical stand point, the film looks and sounds great. And the story still feels fun and I want to know more. However, the serious lack of character development and exploration of their (mean) back story, the film was lying on his gun penetrated so after 99 minutes of his runtime.Sadly another missed opportunity for British cinema.Unless of course, it was developed as a style of film Infernal Affairs and the prequel / sequel fills all the gaps? And now, unfortunately, the Good Day to Die Hard join Moores list of bad films, because it is really BAD.As much as I wanted to like this movie, I just could not, as a die hard fan (no pun intended). First, lets look at selling point. Promised one thing and that's on a larger scale than the last film. You see, the first Die Hard was held in the square. The second took place at the airport. The third was in New York, and was fourth in the nation over the United States. So logically, Die Hard 5 will be international. Ironically, Good Day to Die Hard film feels like the smallest of the five. Why? For all the film feels forced action persecution. I say forced action, because everything is so over-the-top to the point where there is an increase of tension, but an endless hell from start to finish. No emotional investment, not excitement. Everything just looks great and does not feel anything in that size. Moreover, unlike previous Die Hard movies, never the terrorist threat in this film is done. All of these are simply fighting to avoid the threat. I would also argue that the shorter the period of deceleration is a sign of laziness factor why the film is so insignificant.My Another big problem is that the film is repeated, EC and boring. One-liners Arent smart (by the way, was not YIPPEE Ki Yay, mother **** er served EDIT:. Several people claimed to have heard him, and port). Jokes Arent fun. Poor family relations history is still very tired, especially when Die Hard 4 mainly focused on the father-daughter relationship. By the way, the new McClane is really unlikable. I just finished the book last three weeks before seeing the film adaptation of Half-Blood Prince first time.With all the details of the book is fresh in my mind, I had high expectations of the film. But Yates, a cock and production definitely saved. The film impresses on many levels from an artistic standpoint. Removed and washed out colors landscapes convey a feeling of constant fear and premonisyon. Train travel standard Hogwarts sharply, seen against a landscape scorched plants through hot summer sun and dotted with pools of dark water. Usually green and joyous ride the trains nowhere too seen.Personally, I feel the speed on-site and on the movie chic make time for all the key plot points. But if you enjoy a line plot driven by character and emotion. For many of the younger, looking for wizard dueling is frightening and magical attacks by animals, the first hour and a half of the film drags on a bit. My son certainly became flesh and not appreciate Delikatesa and sophistication on the field and approach.Most film in tone and threatening blacks in the film is lost while I am happy that the details contribute to a general sense of all time anpyetan darkness. Unlike dumbed down horror films today offer this film reminiscent of the period when the horror movie as it is indeed a great story behind them. I see from a mile final. But if the end has finally come, that is not what you expect. This is a welcome surprise. At first I thought it was too many people were killed. After all, it's only six souls to be accepted as Brujas spelling. But when I think back, I realize that some of the victims died as he does not die. They were killed by others instead. When was the last time a horror movie that you think? Its been a while. If you are quite young, perhaps never experienced a smart thriller. Renting Psycho. The camera work and editing of top quality and often very creative. Activity is different, but the best character. Eli is an example of perfect casting. I took a girl to see this movie and she jumped up and screamed all the fear. Thats a lot better than it looks like your girlfriend to find shes sleeping! It's also refreshing to walk out of the theater talking through the story. Often these days, I go out, sometime before the end of the film, wondering why I wasted so much money and , think about a refund request. Taking a look at the resurrection. Its easily worth twice the price of admission.

Review: Originally designed to be released in September 2012, Gangster Squad belatedly came to the cinema this week. The film tells the story of LA crime boss Mickey Cohen and a group of off-the-books CUs to shoot down. Based on a true story (which the film does not nowadays?), The film its amazing cast promise a lot, but you come across as soft and boring.Set in Los Angeles in the 50s, Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) is a crime lord , who took over and there seems to be no one who can stop him. At the time, the main part of the set of the film was a scene in which the characters shoot people at the movie screen in a theater. For women, there are plenty of eye candy in the form of a suit and a hat-D Ryan Gosling and gentlemen, Emma Stone and Robert Patrick, without frills. But the story does not ever really go to the page and become something. Were told by Mickey Cohen's bad, but it's never that bad guy. Do not hate, do not sympathize with him or desperately want to remove it. It's just a bad guy. The same can be said for all the characters and stories in general. What does all this ultimately forgettable.

The change from a weak wimp hero super well done, as was the introduction of the sequence with a red skull. The whole Nazi mysticism mystic was very good. But it seemed that after Joe Johnston has recorded two or three well-thought-out pieces, the rest of the film just filler.I caught myself looking at the clock a few times, just kind of wanted the film to end - and it's half the point of the movie. The action sequences are pretty average for the most part, and I never got the feeling the edge of my seat as the characters face peril.All generally above average film that could have been great if someone with a better guide chops chose .6/10
